Bellouard, Yves Visualization 1-Kissi-Bellouard.mp4 The video illustrates the formation of bubbles during laser exposure of fused silica at high repetition rate. While scanning a line across the specimen, bubbles 'burst' from the laser focus, where non-linear absorption effects and bulk heating take place. By slowing down the scanning velocity, we observe the suppression and disappearance of the bubble bursting events. femtosecond laser;bubbles burst;silica;laser writing;ultrafast laser;cumulative effects;bulk heating 2018-05-17
