For $|\sigma|\approx 1$, the particle's trajectory is close to a circle in the transverse plane. The smaller $|\sigma|$, the more distorted the trajectory becomes, because of the axial asymmetry of the intensity distribution around the nanofiber. The optical power is 15 mW in each mode
