The plane wave encounters the triangular metacrystal slab from the bottom normally. The metacrystal prism comsists of 21X12 unit cells. The unit cell of metacrystal is at the lower frequency bands of the MM-PhC transition region. In the movie, the refracted and incident electromagnetic waves occur at different sides of the normal plane, which indicate the refraction index of metacrystal below the MM-PhC transition region is positive.
