In this video we demonstrate optical trapping of a single yeast cell in three dimensions, x,y and z. Once we trap the cell,we start moving the fiber inside the microscope slide micro-channel. The other cells around of the trapped cell, follow the flow of the sample medium and the Brownian motion, in comparison with the trapped cell that stays in a stable position away from the fiber end-face.
